SANKA / TECHNICAL REFERENCES

A shared language for technical quality.

Standards help define the questions an inspection must answer. The correct document and edition depend on the product, contract and applicable requirements.

Quality management

ISO 9001

A framework for an organisation’s quality management system. It is not, by itself, evidence that a particular product passed inspection.

Official reference
Inspection bodies

ISO / IEC 17020

A reference for the competence, impartiality and consistent operation of inspection bodies. Referencing it is different from holding a verified accreditation.

Official reference
Boilers & pressure vessels

ASME BPVC

Technical rules for boilers and pressure vessels. Identify the relevant section, contractual edition and any required authorised inspection involvement.

Official reference
Oil & natural gas equipment

API

Industry standards and equipment specifications. The applicable document follows the equipment type and the purchasing requirements.

Official reference
Welding requirements

AWS

Welding codes address defined materials and applications. AWS D1.1, for example, concerns structural steel welding.

Official reference
European pressure equipment

PED 2014/68/EU

A European directive for pressure equipment. Product applicability and the appropriate conformity-assessment route must be established separately.

Official reference

Technical references are not accreditation claims. Sanka’s certification status and any regulated authorisation must be verified separately before being relied upon.

References & technical context

Company information follows Sanka’s published scope. Technical references provide context, not a claim of certification. The applicable standard, edition and scope are agreed for each project.
